Barcelona speeding up the process to register 23-year-old star before Levante clash

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are working at full speed to complete the registration of their remaining players before Saturday’s La Liga fixture against Levante.

The club has already overcome the first hurdles with La Liga’s financial fair play rules after registering Joan Garcia and Marcus Rashford last weekend.

With only a few days left before the second official match of the season, the focus is now on finalising the registrations of Gerard Martin, Wojciech Szczesny, and Roony Bardghji.

These three names are considered the top priority for the club, as their availability could have a direct impact on Hansi Flick’s tactical options.

Meanwhile, 18-year-old midfielder Marc Bernal is not under immediate pressure since he is recovering from a serious injury.

Barça are planning to release him in September, and if required, he can be registered with the reserve team without issues.

Flick has already hinted at his concerns over the pace of registrations. Just before Barcelona travelled to Mallorca, the German coach admitted that he was not fully satisfied with the delay but remained confident that the club would resolve it quickly.

Flick’s message was that he wants every player available as soon as possible to strengthen his squad depth and flexibility.

Gerard Martin, in particular, is expected to be given a spot in the first-team squad instead of the reserves. The latest plan is for him to be included in the matchday squad for Saturday’s showdown with Levante.

His registration is linked to the departure of Oriol Romeu, the 33-year-old midfielder, who is now close to terminating his final year of contract with Barcelona.

The club understands that having a complete squad is key to Flick’s plans, and with Levante on the horizon, all efforts are being made to ensure no player is left behind in the process.
