Marcus Rashford returned to the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper for the second day in a row and was able to meet his new Barcelona teammates today.
After undergoing his medical on Monday and receiving a welcome from Hansi Flick and Deco, the 27-year-old attacker is waiting for the Catalans to announce his signing on loan from Manchester United.
Rashford could participate in group training
Now, according to Mundo Deportivo, despite the absence of an official statement confirming his signing, Rashford has already had his first contact with the squad and has been cleared to join the team for the second training session of the day.
The English forward arrived at the training ground in a van with tinted windows today morning. He later stepped onto the pitch to listen to Flick’s team talk and meet with his teammates.
However, he then trained separately as he continues building match fitness ahead of the club’s Asian tour.
But, it is expected that Rashford has been cleared to train with the rest of the group in today’s second session and could do so with his new teammates.
Even though there has been no official confirmation yet, Rashford was spotted on a training pitch at the Ciutat Esportiva recording the video for his official presentation as a Barça player today.
It has now been two days since the Englishman arrived in Barcelona, and he is expected to sign his contract with club president Joan Laporta on Wednesday afternoon.
But even before that is done, he will likely train with his new teammates later today under the command of Flick.
