Elden Ring-Themed Xbox And PC Controller Up For Preorder At Amazon

Thrustmaster is working with From Software to create an eye-catching, officially licensed Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree controller. An alternative to the Xbox Elite Series 2, Thrustmaster’s premium controller is highly customizable, features Shadow of the Erdtree-inspired artwork, and is now up for preorder ahead of its September 30 release date. Like all things Elden Ring, this is bound to be popular–reserving a unit now might be the best way to ensure you have it when it arrives later this summer.

The Thrustmaster eSwap X2 is a wired modular controller that works with Xbox and PC. The $200 price tag is admittedly a bit steep, but the eSwap X2’s features are comparable to the Victrix Pro BFG, another modular controller, albeit a wireless one, that’s available for Xbox and PC for $170.

Featuring mechanical buttons for enhanced responsiveness, an ergonomic D-pad, and four remappable back buttons, it should prove to be a useful companion for your journey in The Lands Between.

The premium analog sticks utilize S5 NXG mini-stick modules that are geared toward competitive players. With the proprietary ThrustmapperX software, you can customize the sensitivity levels of the analog sticks or remap the controller’s many buttons.

Along with tactile buttons, a clicky D-pad, and back buttons, the controller uses locking latches for the triggers so they can be actuated faster than a standard gamepad. The controller’s modularity means you can swap around the analog sticks and D-pad to better fit your needs. So regardless of whether you prefer the left analog stick to be above or below the D-pad, the eSwap X2 is a great option.

Additionally, you can swap out any components that get worn down over the years without needing to replace the entire controller.

Here’s a quick look at what you’ll find inside the box:

  • eSwap X2 Controller
  • 2 interchangeable mini-stick modules
  • 2 interchangeable grip modules
  • 2 interchangeable triggers
  • 1 interchangeable D-pad module
  • 2 additional mini stick caps
  • Power cable
  • Screwdriver for removing modules
  • Storage bag
  • Quick Start guide

The Elden Ring version of the Thrustmaster eSwap X2 controller arrives on September 30. Though it’s unfortunate that the controller isn’t available for Shadow of the Erdtree’s launch, dedicated Elden Ring fans will probably still be playing the expansion a couple months from now.
